We are seeking an experienced electrical technician with 5+ years of experience to work on state of the art technology in a fast paced, R&D/prototype/production environment to design, develop and build various products utilizing analog, digital and RF components. Candidates applying for this position need to excel in a collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic environment working on multiple, simultaneous projects. Must be able to work daily onsite at our Princeton, NJ office location.

Responsibilities / Required Skills:
    • Self-motivated problem-solving individual who can work independently as member of a small team
    • Ability to direct and receive written and verbal instructions with a clear attention to detail
    • Basic understanding of analog / digital circuitry
    • Able to read schematics and use PCB layout viewers to locate components
    • Fluent with lab equipment: digital multimeter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, data logger...etc
    • Excellent soldering / rework skills (0402 / soics / etc)
    • Bring up new production boards. Troubleshooting problems as they arise and provide clear rework instructions as needed.
    • Design and build electronic and mechanical test fixtures necessary for testing products.
    • Assemble RF trays based on 2D drawings
    • Cable harness design, build, and rework
    • Familiarity with FPGAs, specifically Altera / Intel based ICs
    • Able to setup and execute documented test scenarios using both lab and BANC3 equipment
Software Tools:
    • Microsoft Windows / Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Intel Quartus (Programmer / Signaltap)
    • PCB Layout Viewers  
Advanced Skills (not required, but beneficial):
    • Basic RF knowledge. Band pass filters, limiters, amplifiers, etc.
    • Scripting knowledge i.e. TCL, Python, Matlab
    • Able to expand upon current test procedures to provide additional coverage and debugging functionality.
    • Able to create / update cable assembly drawings
    • Familiar with fiber optic transceivers
    • Basic Linux knowledge
    • Knowledge of VHDL
