Job Description:

    • BANC3 is seeking a mechanical engineer to work in a dynamic, small team environment in support of production and research and development projects emphasizing novel designs to meet challenging environmental specifications.
    • The work focuses on designing, developing, fabricating, integrating, and testing electronic enclosures, antennas, masts, and mounting apparatus for use in radio frequency (RF) applications.
    • Candidate should be familiar with system-level component integration (enclosures, chassis, electronics, RF components, circuit card assemblies, connectors, power supplies, etc.) including commercially available and custom designed items.
    • Responsibilities include working with vendors to manufacture metal work, integrating assemblies, and testing assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Work includes collaborating with outside vendors to perform mechanical and thermal finite element analyses (FEAs) on systems, reviewing findings to identify design changes to meet specifications, and implementing those changes to create compliant designs.
    • Excellent communications skills are needed to maximize performance in the small team setting.
    • Candidate should be able to work independently and interact effectively with other team members involved in complementary technical disciplines (electrical engineering, RF engineering).  

Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering
    • Minimum 10 years of experience
    • Detailed understanding of CAD software (ProE/Creo currently in use)
    • Detailed understanding of revision control software for drawings (WindChill currently in use)
    • Experience with organizing and managing Costed Bill of Material (CBOM)
    • Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810 environmental specifications
    • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
    • Familiarity with MS Office products for use in reports and presentations
