Pre-Shot Threat Detection (PTD) System:
The PTD is a a rifle-mounted laser used in combination with the legacy Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG). The PTD laser system provides positive visible warning signatures from threat optics (e.g. to include but not limited to rocket propelled grenade (RPG) sights, binoculars, and rifle scopes). BANC3 has created innovative and lightweight solutions for the PTD weapon mounted operational systems.
C4ISR Prototype Tech Insertion services for PI&TD Division of CERDEC:
BANC3 provides services to the Prototyping, Integration and Testing Division to execute a variety of current and planned tri-service (Army, Navy/Marine and Air Force) C4ISR systems and systems integration programs. They incorporate all aspects of prototype systems integration, including engineering design, development fabrication, installation, integration, testing and fielding of shelter, vehicular, aircraft, watercraft and soldier prototype C4ISR systems. BANC3’s services include embedded engineering, system analysis, design, Electro-Optics technology insertion, prototype fabrication 3-Dimensional (3-D) solid modeling and Computer Aided Design (CAD) /Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). BANC3 supports the reduction of prototype system development risk through early prototype planning, development, and demonstration. The results and lessons learned by prototyping are being captured and appropriately integrated into the total technology effort as appropriate.
Dismounted Reconnaissance Sets, Kits and Outfits (DR SKO):
As the military continues to expand its role from traditional battlefield threats of the cold war era to a more urban, police action activity where industrial chemicals are encountered, the mission of CBRN response teams is expanding from traditional Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs) to include Toxic Industrial Chemicals/Toxic Industrial Materials (TICs/TIMs), agents of biological origin (ABO) and various radiological materials. The DR SKO initiative was established as an acquisition program to address these additional mission requirements. The DR SKO initiative includes CBRN detection and protection equipment tailored to support each Service’s missions that require dismounted CBRN reconnaissance, WMD conformation or denial, and characterization of a hazardous material event or accident. BANC3 provided Human Systems Integration (HSI) expertise in support of ongoing system development, and equipment design.
