This project involved providing project and construction management services for health and safety upgrades at various school facilities located mostly in North Jersey. The locations include:

The scope of work included rehabilitation of existing facilities including demolition, asbestos and lead-based paint abatement, environmental compliance, and the general construction trades such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, roof replacement, ADA compliance, communication systems, security upgrades, fire and smoke detection, new doors and hardware, code compliance, technology upgrades, sprinkler, kitchen, windows, façade restoration, and other construction trades. Based on our performance, a new contract was awarded with Turner Construction for NJSCC to provide similar services mainly new construction and some site remediation. BANC3 fee on this new contract is $597,000.00 to manage approximately $22M construction. This project is currently in progress.
During the construction, the BANC3 superintendent encountered the subcontractor could not complete the boiler repair work per the original schedule due to the unavailability of boiler accessories. This would have put the facility not been ready for heating for the winter season. The project superintendent initiated to contact various manufacturers immediately and the necessary accessories were obtained on time. By accelerating the process, it reduced the lag time and the project was completed before the cold season started.
