Betsy Ross, Walt Whitman, and Ben Franklin Bridge - Delaware River Port Authority
Client: Pennoni Associates
BANC3, Inc., Consulting Engineers performed environmental services for the
upgrading of underground storage tanks including fuel distribution piping at
Betsy Ross Bridge, Walt Whitman Bridge, and Ben Franklin Bridge in NJ. Responsibilities
included preparing plans and specifications for tank upgrades, mechanical and
electrical conduit installations, concrete pads, site investigations and oversight.
The scope of work included d eveloping project specifications, creating and
co-coordinating teams to meet project completion deadlines, and conducting
field inspections for various code compliance. Though each site was unique,
the same office under a single project executive managed upgrade operations.
The project as a whole demonstrates BANC3’s ability to work for a single
responsible entity while addressing the unique needs of the various sites.
