BANC3 provides Help Desk support for a network of approximately 150+ users at the Department of Defense - Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM). In continual support of humanitarian efforts overseas today, the Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command is the only facility of its kind capable of designing, acquiring, assembling, integrating, storing, shipping, and maintaining deployable medical systems utilized by the United States Navy. The platforms include Microsoft Exchange 2003 server, Microsoft Office Professional 2003, Windows 2000 & XP workstations, Advanced Server & Datacenter Server.
Responsible for logging and responding to e-mail and telephone help desk requests
Troubleshoot system hardware/software problems
Provide weekly status updates of all open jobs and on-going projects on Help Desk activity
Information System Department supply representative: Orders all department office supplies in addition to information technology equipment. Provides weekly status report of all supplies ordered and received
Configure and deploy new Windows 2000 and XP workstations and laptops
Assist with the deployment of Windows security patches, software/hardware updates, and server change over
Assist the Network Engineer, Information Systems Security Manager, and Database Administrator with day-to-day operations
Ensure that routine cleaning and periodic maintenance of hardware is performed
Recommend procurement of parts or services to maintain or repair hardware issues
Collecting and analyzing information, perform oral and written communications to document, respond to, or refer help center calls that involve daily operations
Analyzing data to troubleshoot problems, evaluate established methods and procedures, and performed similar analytical functions
Interact with a diverse user community and respond to a wide range of requests. Resolve problems that involve routine operations and worked with senior specialists on more complex problems
Customer support, service principles and methods, of the installed systems base, and methods and procedures for developing technical documentation
